Roots is a community events platform that helps people discover and create local events in Norway. we aim to connect communities and make it easy to find activities that feel relevant:

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Respect other users and community members
  • Provide accurate information when creating events or profiles
  • Not engage in any harmful or disruptive behavior

User Content

You are responsible for any content you post or share through Roots. You grant us permission to use, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide our services.

User Conduct & Content Policy

Prohibited Content

You may not send, upload, or share:

  • Nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content
  • Harassment, threats, or hate speech
  • Spam or unsolicited commercial messages
  • Content depicting violence or illegal activity
  • Impersonation or fraudulent content

Consequences

Violations will result in:

  • First offense: Warning and content removal
  • Second offense: 7-day account suspension
  • Third offense: Permanent account termination
  • Illegal content: Report to authorities

Moderation

We use automated and human moderation to enforce these rules. By using Roots, you consent to content scanning for safety purposes.

Reporting

If you receive inappropriate content:

  • Use the "Report" button immediately
  • Block the user
  • We will investigate within 24 hours

Event Participation

Participation in events listed on Roots is at your own risk. Roots is not responsible for the organization, conduct, or outcomes of events created by users.

Limitation of Liability

Roots is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
